Economics is no longer a separate
department in the CBE. We
are now an area of the business department.
The
economics
faculty
link displays pictures of the faculty and information about each
of them.
Economics
is an integral part of the CBE curriculum.
The full requirements
for the Economics
major are presented in the
Economics
(General Option) Curriculum Requirements Checksheet.
As
a CBE major you will take a minimum of nine credits of economics.
These include either Economics 272, or Economics 201 and
202, and three credits of upper division economics.
Economics was represented in the IBC for five year’s of
its existence. Now,
IBC students will be required to take a separate two-credit course
called Managerial Economics.
Many
opportunities exist to combine an economics major with another
major, either as a double major or in the financial economics
option (see the
Economics
(Financial Option) Curriculum Requirements Checksheet).
