Finance Major Objective 4: Assignment

 Assignment
 

 

NOTE:  Your work must be your own.  This means that you have not collaborated with anyone, at any time, about your work for this assignment.
 

  1. Determine your investment profile.  Go to Investor Education - Investor Profile  and take an investment profile test.
     
  2. Prepare a budget.  To assist you you accomplish this task:
     
    1. Read “Making a Budget: Top 10 Things to Know
       
    2. Prepare a budget using the "Ideal Budget" template
       
  3. Submit a report of the results of the investment profile test and your ideal budget.  Your report must be done with Microsoft Word 2003 or higher. It should be double-spaced using Times Roman 12 point font with one-inch margins on all sides. 
     
  4. NOTE:  Most college students do not have a strict budget.  If you fall into this category, you can estimate a budget, estimate your parent's budget, or input zero.

 Assignment Submittal

Upload and submit your assignment through Locked: Userid/Password Required Blackboard prior to the module's due date and time to successfully complete this module. Late submittals will not be accepted.

Note: If you have more than one document to submit when completing an assignment, be sure to upload every file for the assignment before selecting the Submit button.

Submit the completed assignment created in Microsoft Word 97 or higher by following the steps below:

  1. Log into the Locked: Userid/Password Required Blackboard portion of this course.
  2. Click Assignments from the course menu on the left.
  3. Click on the Inbox tab
  4. Click on the title of the assignment for this module.
  5. After preparing your assignment in Microsoft Word 97 or higher proceed to the next step.
    Note: When naming this assignment file, you must use single-word filenames or insert an underscore between words (ex. Assignment_1). Blackboard will not recognize filenames with spaces, or characters that are not numbers or letters (ex. #, $, %).
  6. Repeat the following steps for each file you wish to submit:
  7. bulletSelect Add Attachments
    bulletSelect My Computer from the left menu
    bulletSelect Browse on the right
    bulletLocate and highlight your assignment file
    bulletSelect Open to select the assignment
    bulletSelect OK to upload the assignment
  8. Choose Submit to submit your assignment.
